The well-known professional actor and TV/film scriptwriter (writer of `Made In Dagenham') William Ivory said "It's beautiful...So heartfelt. a gorgeous piece of drama"
The play is an adaptation from my musical `Phantom Love’ which was performed at Curve Theatre in 2014 and is approximately 37 minutes long...
THE JOURNEY OF PHANTOM LOVE
My background... My musical, Phantom Love, was performed at Curve theatre in Leicester in 2014 by Catmose College in Oakham and both myself and the college received the most incredible reviews and congratulations...which has been the catalyst for this new exciting project.
The recording... The play is based in the trenches during WW1 and focusses on a small nucleus of soldiers. It deals with their fears, emotional torment and spiritual challenges during such times - and these human feelings are as relevant today as they ever were back in those difficult days. It also has very uplifting message throughout - it reflects on guardian angels, or rather loved ones who have passed into spirit never leaving us - living on through memories and feelings…
The vision... I believe that this play is a strong radio drama production and has the incredible potential to, not only be enjoyed in its own right, but also to be used as a unique educational tool for young people.
If this work has stirred something inside you or inspired you to join me in helping to get Phantom Love heard to a wider audience, then please tell do not hesitate to contact me and we can put our `thinking caps’ on…
